Hello All Members,

Another milestone for our club as we received the news from Colchester Borough Council that West Mersea Bowls Club was successful in its planning application for allowing us, as a club, to be able to bowl all year round indoors and outdoors with no restrictions.

This is fantastic news however, none of this would have been possible if it had not been for the tireless work carried out by our very own Chris Marchington. A big thank you should also go to Julia Sergeant, our planning consultant who was kind enough to impart her knowledge and support to help us obtain a successful conclusion to our application.

I cannot stress enough the amount of work put in by Chris, every time the club asks him to step up he always produces the goods, excellent work Chris.

I would also like to thank all the members of our club for their contribution in registering every time they came to the club with or without your cars, this actually helped considerably. This restriction was in place for 54 years.
